I had seen some weird shit in my time. Hell, I had done some weird shit. There was the time that we all got shit faced and the women painted our nails as payback. That wasn’t exactly the most pleasant experience, but not the worst either. Hanging out with the women day in and day out was definitely a transition for me. I was used to seeing my friends, going out to The Pub for a beer and just bitching about our lives. And poker night, that was the thing I missed the most. These guys played Go Fish, but still called it poker. It was fucking weird.

I didn’t regret being with Lola. Not for one second. But I was beginning to wonder about the guys she worked with. Plus, I saw a new side to Sebastian that I hadn’t seen before. Sebastian was one tough bastard, which I knew all along, but now I was seeing it up close and personal. I had been there when he was in work mode, getting us all transported to Knight’s house. He was another scary bastard, but for some reason, was super nice to me. Maybe it was because of Lola. She had told me that he really helped her with her PTSD issues.

Yet, here I was, on the run with my kickass wife and her crazy work crew, but we were getting a fucking spa day. When Sebastian told me we were going to hang out with the guys, I practically pissed myself in excitement. I pictured lots of alcohol, a pool table, and maybe some hot wings. But I was sitting in a chair after having a mud treatment, and I was getting a fucking pedicure.

“This wasn’t really what I had in mind when you said we were gonna hang out with the guys.”

Sebastian turned to me with the same irritated expression. “Trust me, pedicures wasn’t on my list of fun things to do. Not to mention seeing one guy wipe another guy down,” he muttered to himself.

“What’s that?”

“Nothing. Forget I said anything.”

“How long does it look like we’ll be…” I looked down at the lady washing my feet and then back to Sebastian. “Gone?”

He sighed and leaned back and sighed. “I have no fucking clue. We’re falling apart here.”

“So, this is what you guys do to bond and shit? How you get back on track?”

“Not exactly the idea of male bonding you had in mind, is it?”

“Even Lola doesn’t do this shit. It’s weird.”

Alec and Craig walked in and sat down in their own seats. “See? Isn’t this relaxing?” Craig asked.

“Craig, I’m sitting here, in a fucking spa chair, with mud stuck in places that I don’t want to even mention. No, this isn’t fucking relaxing,” Alec bit out.

“You know, after all the shit I put up with since finding out about you and Florrie, the least you could do is pretend to enjoy this day that I’ve put together for you.”

A woman walked into the room with a tray of drinks and handed one to Craig.
